How I did it: Actually, I did this with a different organization that's probably a copy-cat group. Regardless, I've actively built 4 houses in Mexico over the last few years. I’ve done the running part of 2 triathlons this year and feel good about it. Yeah, that’s not quite the same as a full triathlon, yet is a few steps in that direction.
I first met Thich Nhat Hanh on a five-day retreat he lead at Deer Park Monastery in Escondido, California. He’s an amazing teacher on many levels. His clarity and strength show through. The teachers with him also get my respect for their sincerity.
I really enjoyed walking with him for the morning walking meditations.
