Now it's called San Diego Botanical Gardens, and still great!

These beautiful gardens are tucked out of the way in Encinitas, such that many locals don’t even know it’s here! Long-time locals know and come here, plus people from all over the world.

I’ve done the running part of 2 triathlons this year and feel good about it. Yeah, that’s not quite the same as a full triathlon, yet is a few steps in that direction.



meet Thich Nhat Hanh
with the teacher on his 5-day retreat

I first met Thich Nhat Hanh on a five-day retreat he lead at Deer Park Monastery in Escondido, California. He’s an amazing teacher on many levels. His clarity and strength show through. The teachers with him also get my respect for their sincerity.
I really enjoyed walking with him for the morning walking meditations.
