Why I need to: Getting my car will allow me more freedom, I can do what I want, I can go to the gym, it will allow me to hang out with friends without needing help getting there, next year I’ll be in Jamestown and I need to drive, Money,
Why I’m hesitating: Fear of failure, fear of death/accidents/dad’s anger
How I’ll get over that: Reverse in the morning, practice, practice with Tim, Get confident, Realize that I’ll just have to very aware and death is inevitable
2. Get 2100+ on SAT
Why I need to: It will help me with the application process next year, it will allow me very good chances of getting into any school of my desire, challenge myself, prove to myself
Why I’m hesitating: Boring, fear of failure, I hate math
How I’ll get over that: Block of times a week to study, study at least 2 hrs a week, 1 practice test a week, keep reminding myself this is for my own good
3. Apply for scholarships
Why I need to: I want to graduate college debt-free, it will take the weight off my back in college, it will allow me to have more fun/freedom in college because I won’t be worried about money, prove to myself, i’ll be more likely to excel, I am, despite my fear, worthy of those scholarships and I have worked hard over the past four years
Why I’m hesitating: Fear of failure, boring, Tumblr is so much more riveting, Lack of planning ahead of time
How I’ll get over that: Over this summer record scholarship applications/dates, Write for scholarships Over the Summer, Be very organized during year, Use college seminar as application time
4. Lose 25 lbs
Why I need to: My health, I could become obese like my mom and get all of her health risks, It will increase my confidence, the type of men I’m attracted to will like me more
Why I’m hesitating: I’m lazy, fear of failure, Dreaming about my perfect body is so much easier than working hard to get it, lack of self control, Addiction to crappy food
How I’ll get over that:
Yoga Class, Dance Class, Sign up for Rush when I get my car, challenge myself, spend less time online, be conscious of what I put into my body, to respect my body, 3 times a week DVD
5. Decide what I want to do with my life
Why I need to: So I have a clear plan of attack for college and life, to understand what to major in, to further understand myself, to not stress myself out later, to find my passion, to not waste my life confused and unhappy
Why I’m hesitating: It’s boring, true confusion, too lazy to read my books and do the research
How I’ll get over that: Read my books and do the research, Understand that this actually will make my life easier, spend less than 25 minutes a day on Tumblr
