Time was when I had other things to do, hobbies, activities, etc.
From young to young adult, I always did stuff. There was pathfinders, going to the rugby, swimming, bike rides, days out, ju-jitsu. The biggest was fencing. I loved it. Every Wednesday without fail for years. Sometimes, if I was really psyched, twice a week – at Liverpool on Monday and at Edge Hill on Wednesday. Wednesday nights were what I looked forwards to more than anything. Then there were comps. I could be fencing from before 10am to after 4pm at some events.
I just don’t have that routine any more, for some reason. Uni totally took over, but I would have time if I MADE time.
so, to complete this I need to:
- join a society/club/activity and go to it regularly
- stick to it in spite of other things. Opt in, not out.
- prepare for it in advance/think about it/anticipate it.
