Quote of an e-mail I wrote a day or two ago:
Body for life, which I had read before I left on my trip, recommends
eating 6 times a day.

(related video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaXEKY8XxMs )
I’d like to try that, again.
As I do not have the freedom to do my own shopping, this is more
difficult. Perhaps when I am gainfully employed, and on my own, with
more authority.
I also think you can get results without eating 6 meals a day, so long as your portions are under control. But six meals a day increases your metabolism.
Body for life also recommended something similar to the eat ‘every
other day’ diet.
It recommended eating badly only once a week, not every other day.
(Not necessarily the same day every week, as you might want to attend
Christmas dinner one week or a Birthday party the next.) I had my one
day and it worked.
I gained weight immediately upon eating badly, and then lost quickly
and immediately upon my return to eating lighter, during the following days. I have an electronic copy of that book, but it’s 40mb which is too large to e-mail. There’s also a physical copy of that book on Mom’s desk near the living room. I think it’s a better idea to have lengthy periods of weight loss, in between times when you have to remind your body that it isn’t starving. (Though if you’re over eating with the wrong food, your body may still be starved of nutrients and sending out signals to eat more.)
When I returned from my travels, I read the Gabriel diet, which I had
learned of from Australian TV. It’s about the story of Jon Gabriel. He was morbidly obese and became very fit. Many of the ideas he used are similar to everything else I had learned of. I’ve attached an
electronic copy of his book. It may be too lengthy to read on your
schedule. I don’t know.

When in Wellington, New Zealand I picked up a magazine on a news
stand. And it had an interview with an actor. (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Statham ) He was asked how he kept
in shape. And he mentioned a combination of the Paleo Diet, and the
Zone Diet. And drinking water if he felt hungry. That was when I
started researching the Paleo Diet. I’ve only started looking at the
Zone Diet, recently. This was after seeing a 1200 lb man on TV use The Zone Diet to lose 600 lbs of weight, while physically unable to
exercise. The two eating plans are fairly similar and compliment each
other.
After purchasing the book, for the Paleo Diet, I have done my best to
make copies of some of the more relevant pages from that book. I’ve
also found matching info on Wikipedia which is on the fridge.

I have not yet read the book for The Zone Diet, and would like to. I
think it would also be beneficial to have at least 50% of our diets,
of raw or living foods, that are more nutrient dense, and contain
(undamaged) digestive enzymes, both of which our bodies need.
