Hot damn, I realized that was an actual goal on here. Go me.
It was free on craigslist. I had to pay my ex to haul it though….still a good deal despite that I overpaid him.

How I did it: Persistently looking on craigslist. I was actually looking for a dining room table at the time and happened upon it. It was posted as free desk and hutch. I had to pay my ex to haul it as I have no truck and I was working at the time, but still ended up getting a pretty good deal.It's not a high end piece of furniture or anything but it has plenty of storage and it actually is pretty, I think. My mother gave me this prose in a little book when I was a young girl. The book has been misplaced sadly.
I just thought about it after many years.
I also found out that the poet lived in Terre Haute, (in Indiana where I live and was born and raised)
Nice words that captivated me as a girl. They’re still nice to read and true, and make me think of my mom.
Note to self: give poem to my son for part of his holiday gifts.

so yahoo has this new feature that takes email addys from your box and asks if you’d like to receive updates from…whomever.
So I’m checking my mail and my mama’s email address popped up from some notes I had saved from her.
Oh how I WISH I could receive updates from her…lol. Could definitely use ‘em about now.
