So I have begun. I’m going to be keeping a blog of my job search and (hopefully) my first year of teaching.

How I did it: As I posted earlier, I joined the site www.nutrimirror.com and started logging my food daily. I have been eating purer foods and less processed junk food. I started measuring and recording whatever I ate making sure that I was getting enough nutrients and balancing my fat, protein, and carb intake. I also started jogging, walking, Wii Fitting, doing yoga, and other assorted exercises. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I checked out a free yoga class offered at Core Power Yoga Studio on Roosevelt and Jefferson. They offer free yoga for beginners on Saturdays and Sundays at noon. The class was so welcoming and doable. The thermostat was set at 93 degrees and I sweat bullets, but I definitely got a great work out. I enjoyed the experience immensely. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started using a food log at www.nutrimirror.com and have been logging every day since May 26th. I have lost 22 pounds since I started, and am really enjoying the learning process the food log provides. Read how I did it…

So far I have lost ten pounds by eating healthier “purer” foods and exercising on a regular basis. I’m using the site Nutrimirror.com to log my food/nutrients. It is wonderful! Going strong on this goal!
I have successfully kept my food log for one week. This does not sound as impressive as I believe it is. What’s even more is that I have been mostly “green” (meaning good) on all my nutrients. Huzzah!
