Fianlly persuaded my other half to get rid of some things. Cut the books down from about 3000 to maybe 1000 and that was a big help. Planning a big yard sale this spring when it is warmer and this will help greatly.

Expensive but worth it

Did the free evaluation thing with an opthamologist and it is going to be super expensive for me to have this done 8-10 thousand. Unfortunately, simple procedures are out for me and I really need double lens replacements. Despite the extreme cost, I am determined to see this through. Looking into finance options even though this clashes with my new debt free philosophy.
Getting serious about the debt thing

I started Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University 3 weeks ago. I have made progress toward my emergency fund and as of today, Feb 15th, we have paid about $1,000 altogether of the smaller debts. The “plastic surgery” was quite successful, no more credit cards!
