I’ve wanted this for quite awhile, but decided to get my conch pierced first. I’m getting the rook on the opposite side, so I want the conch to heal completely first before getting the rook (since that would make sleeping just awful!) I cannot wait though. The conch looks awesome and this would complement it.

I cleaned up half. If I just fold my clothes and put them away my room would actually look half decent

It took me about a week and some parts are a little sloppy, but hopefully it’s sturdy! It was sewn together from 8 squares. Pattern featured in Crochet Today! Magazine

this is completely worth it. its rewarding and theraputic! i made this blanket for a friend and it measures somewhere around 68 1/2” X 90” its so beautiful. and nothing was more rewarding than being able to say, “here. i made this for you.” and give it to someone special.

i really love what i’ve been able to learn so far in my class, and the photographs that ive taken are amazing! im really surprised at the way that i’ve really been able to see things: i look at life in a completely different perspective both inside and outside of trying to capture moments on film. i absolutely love my class so far, and my favorite photo shoot was the motion shoot where i messed with shutter speeds. i shot cars good enough to be put in car commercials (ok, not really…but I THINK SO!) blurred background and still cars looked amazing. im really proud of myself; i’ll post pictures if anyone would like to see my work!

Alright, well I definitely acheieved my goal and did well, but i didnt do OUTSTANDING like I’d hoped. I’d seriously wished for a perfect 2400 score but…hah, maybe expectations were too high. Oh well. Whatever, i did it, and didnt do horribly at all. :)

They can be personal, and no one needs to see them. They’re great for mere practice of techniques or just when you feel like drawing. I use my sketchbook for practice. If there’s a drawing I really want to do, I practice methods and similar pictures to what I want to draw in my sketchbook before I get out some real paper and do the actual drawing. Fear shouldnt be an option: with enough patience, you can get your desired outcome. A simple sketch of a face took me two hours once, but I believe it to be completely worth it. I cant draw a beautiful picture in 10 minutes, but you don’t need to!

I cant even begin to describe the improvement that I’ve seen in my drawing lately. I tried out about 3 different methods and they’ve all made a tremendous difference. I drew a portrait if my favorite guy that came out so beautifully, but i wont show it to him until i deem it to be perfect. :) I picked up an excellent book as well, and it really helped me with my shading problems which makes all the difference in my art. I still have trouble, but practice makes perfect. I’ve noticed that I’ve been looking at a lot of things differently lately. Knowing where to shade has also altered my aspect on the things that i see. it sounds weird, but many many times this week when i’ve been looking at people or objects, ive taken a conscious notice of darkened areas and details. It’s weird! I was chatting with one of my friends, and I noticed that I was taking in all of the details of her face as if I were preparing to draw her. Cool. I suppose noticing my surroundings more often will definitely make a difference as well.

I started this for a very good friend…back in March. Hurrah, I’m about halfway done now. :( Not much progress, but I’m trying. I want each color to be used 8 times. It’s huge too…i to make about 300+ stitches for the foundation chain. I cant wait until its finished, because he’s going to love it.

Get into this ASAP if you want to learn. You can teach yourself and become amazing, its really easy. I taught myself years ago, and I’m almost finished with this beautiful ripple afghan that I’m making for a good friend. You can practically crochet anything, ponchos are really really fun and come out beautiful. And there are a few stitches you can do that look like knitwork if you can’t make up your mind!

I used to write poems just all the time. And now none seem to be creeping out of my pen, but I did write one last night, and one a few days ago, so I would really like to get back into the habit of writing them. A group of my favorite poems that I wrote…are almost two years old! I need some new original stuff. Considering the link works, my newest poem can be read here: http://www.gotpoetry.com/Poems/l_op=viewpoems/lid=3066.html

I’m just nuts about this guy. He took me out Friday evening, and while the night wasnt full of fun, just talking for hours was…so nice. He kept me warm when I was cold, and I just loved looking into his gorgeous blue eyes…his eyes are f*cking gorgeous.
So I’m sitting here waiting for him to call (he said he’d call back; I have an excuse). I really hope he feels the same. I really don’t know. I think I’m just stupid. I’m just head-over-heels for him. I wish I wasnt so chicken. :’(

But I don’t really know how healthy this goal actually is. My goal really is to lose 10 pounds as fast as possible, not necessarily in two weeks. I guess I dont need to lose 10 pounds, but I can afford to and need to be in shape anyway. These new sweaters I bought would look so much better if i lost 5-10 pounds.
