Well, I’ve consistently achieved the set target (i.e. <1L of liquid death per month) ever since I posted this goal, so I'm marking this as done. I haven't noticed any great improvement in my health (other than a reduced incidence of heartburn and gas), but I know that deep down, somewhere, I've made some of my liver cells happier :)

This is a sub-goal for “eat healthy”. It doesn’t seem like a difficult one at first glance, but then again there are are situations when you could really use a refreshment, and Coke/Fanta/etc. is all you’re offered.. and the non-carbonated alternatives are often significantly more expensive. So a complete elimination will probably be impossible, but I think a more realistic goal would be to reduce consumption to less than a 0.5L PET every week.
Anyway, this is progressing nicely, gone are the days when I used to drink a whole 2 liters of the stuff in a couple of hours, nowadays I can’t even stomach that thought psychologically – I seem to drink about 0.5 liters’ worth and then I just get bored with it. So this is a good sign, I won’t have to do any struggling to lay off it.
Actually, it’s been years since I’ve done this, but I didn’t even know this could be a goal for someone… Anyway, is this worth it? Hell yeah! I think TV is absolute rubbish from A to Z, including – believe it or not – the Discovery/National Geographic channels. In the final months, I think about the only thing that I was still watching was VH1…
For me at least, The Internet, with all its flaws, has become a much more useful source of news, information and entertainment, mostly due to its interactivity: you can choose your sources and the content you receive at any second.
