I want to lose 15 pounds for several reasons. First of all, I’ll look great in my new clothes and naked ;), therefore I will be way more confident and my self-esteem will go through the roof! Secondly, I will have a much healthier body and since I LOVE all sports and outdoors, I’ll run faster because I don’t have any extra weight holding me back, and I’ll have stronger muscles. Thirdly, I’ve always been overweight and since I am starting high school soon, I want to reinvent myself for the BEST.
Before I learned about nutrition,calories, exercise, etc… I would just eat food, not knowing wether or not it was healthy. I never even bothered reading the ingredients. I just assumed food was food. I’m totally thankful and lucky that both my parents are medical doctors and they have given me so much information/tips.
My diet has been vegan for two months now. A vegan doesn’t eat any meat, seafood, animal milk, cheese, dairy, yogurt, eggs, poultry- anything derived from animals.
I eat organic fruits, organic vegetables, organic tofu, organic nuts, organic teas, organic sauces and hummus, organic beans, organic legumes, organic soups, organic raw food bars, organic veggie burgers, and organic almond milk. I also like raw, organic almond butter ( it’s like peanut butter, though it’s made with almonds).
I read the ingredients of everything I buy, I cook more, and I basically just eat as healthy as I possibly can nowadays.
I exercise for 1 hour a day. When I exercise, I do as many different activities and sports as I can. I love to have a big variety of things to do so I don’t get bored. My city has a lake, and so I like to paddle board and kayak. I like to run up stair sets, kickboxing at the gym, yoga, jump rope, playing football,soccer, baseball, tennis, and basketball with my brothers and sisters. I’ve also been walking more instead of asking for a ride somewhere, if it’s a walkable distance. I like to dance with loud music on, go hiking, indoor rock wall climbing, and bike.
My advice for someone looking for exercise, I would tell them to find an activity or sport that they enjoy doing. Have fun losing weight, it doesn’t have to be hell! Also, ask your friends if they wanna go workout or something. Find awesome music to pump you up for exercising! Music has definitely helped me. I wake up early ( 6:45 AM or 7:30AM)to get a lot done, also, its usually a lot cooler in the mornings, so I like exercising in the morning. The hot sun can make you not want to exercise, though don’t let anything stop you! You and me can lose weight! I believe in us!
