This one’s a tuffy. With a sort of background in economics, I’ve looked at what we all accept as the way to go – capitalism, more or less unrestrained by governments, requiring ever increasing populations, productivity, and GDP growth. The thing is with finite resources this can’t sustain itself, so it’s like a pyramid scheme with the losers being our great grandchildren. Now if I could only devise a better way… You’ll hear about it if I can find one, trust me. The trouble is all other alternatives (i.e. socialism, social credit, etc.) neglect human nature and somehow lead to collapse. One day I’ll figure it out. In the meantime I will be a total hypocrite and spend my life supporting and contributing to a system which seems fundamentally flawed. At least I’ll get my condo?!
