Yes, almost 4000 people in this site want to do the same. And me too! I speak italian (my mother language), portugues (i live in Lisbon), english (ok, not so good…)...why not spanish? Then it would be usefull: i use to spend some days in Spain every year, just for pleasure (Portugal is so little: in two hours i can get to Spain by the highway)m and every time i must talk in a strange italian-portugues language to make people understand what i want. Yes, it’s time to learn spanish. And i’ll do it. Promise!
Yes, the book is ready. And I sent it to a publisher some months ago, but then…nothing, still waiting. What kind of book is it? Oh, well, it’s not a novel or something like that: is a book about guinea pigs.
Why? Easy to explain. I’m italian but living in Portugal. Two years ago i bought a guinea pigs: i was just wasting my time walking and i stopped in front of an animal shop. There was a muose, or something like that, so little, so cute. I entered and i bought. It was a really good choice, it’s a good pet. But during the first days i had some doubts: how handle a guinea pig? (yes, it wasn’t a mouse i understood…). Ok, let’s go out to get a book about the matter. Surprise: there’s no book about guinea pigs in Portugal!
So i decided: if there is not a book it means i’ll write the first one. So i did. Wonder, reading, searching, looking…well, i may say i know soooo many things about guinea pigs now! And i’d like to publish this book. I know it wouldn’t be a best seller but i’m not worried about it: next time someone’ll buy a guinea pig in Portugal he’ll find some good tips in a new brand book (i hope…).
