It’s cliche, but it’s really the most important advice you’ll ever receive. If you don’t like what you’re doing you’re going to have a hard time doing it for 18 straight hours.

I’ve been using Firefox (/Firebird/Phoenix) for years now. I can’t even begin to imagine using anything else. It’s great on all platforms, it’s clean (visually and architecturally), it’s open source, it supports only open standards, and it’s got a great community.
Best of all, it’s very easy to install.
