Okay so it really IS cool. I went last year with a friend and we camped… make sure you make camping reservations EARLY as all the local parks “book up” fast. The one main park in the city was $20 for a site, and people are very cool about noise and lights.
One thing that ticked me off, though, was the little kids trying to smash the fireflies and make them glow. Just a note.
the opposition that meets me when i tell people of this phenomenon! it’s like there’s some kind of a cosmic conspiracy against it.
