Very Important! My daughters are 16 and 19 now. I’ve tried to show/tell them I love them all the time. From when they were little babies and I’d give them massages almost every night to help them sleep—to now when I tell them I love them after every phone call and try to make sure that they’re safe & healthy always. Even so, looking back, I wish that I’d made even more time for them. Advice to dads & moms – take every chance you can to let your daughters (and sons) know how you feel.

Dancing is a wonderful art, a good exercise, and great way to develop body movement skills. As a teenage martial artist, I decided to try a ballet class when I started college (I’d heard that boxers and martial artists sometimes studied dance to develop their footwork). It was so fascinating, that I ended up majoring in Dance (receiving a BFA from Adelphi University) and having a short full-time concert dance career (Entre Six in Montreal and Ballet West in Salt Lake City). I ended my career when I got married (to dance full-time, you usually have to be ‘on the road’ for months at a time and it is hard to have a marriage in those circumstances), but my time in dance was a high point in my life.
