How I did it: Also I calculated that I am only 10% taller than the average man and 10% lighter. I improved my posture with the Alexander Technique. I bought a large jacket from a charity store which makes me look bigger. I'm attending a Respite Center twice a week which is helping my self-esteem. Read how I did it…
I’ve finished the introduction, as well as skimming through what I read again to help my memory. I’m up to page 47 of 446. So far so good.
Performance goals are more helpful than Outcome goals e.g. an athlete sets a goal to run a personal best rather than an outcome goal of winning the race which depends on the other competitors.
Even trying to set career goals in itself is too much an overwhelming outcome goal for me at the moment.
Examples of areas where I can set performance goals are:
Staying out of bed during the day
Eating in moderation
Practicing Sense-restraint
Practicing meditation
Helping around the house
Posting to my Yahoo Groups
Taking medication
Doing at least one outside activity each day.
Reading the Weather forecast every morning
Listening to BBC World Service News in the morning (like HH Dalai Lama does!)
Write down lists of things I’ve achieved at the end of each day (I achieved this 43things entry!)
