How I did it: I found a pattern I liked that would work with sock yarn and voila! There it is! Actually, I have a book that has patterns for one skein of sock yarn and I may look at that for subsequent projects, but this time I wanted something that I could have near me. How I did it: I thought the book was great, even though it took me forever to get around to reading it. It ended up being my car book, so it took even longer to read, since that book only gets read during lunch breaks on the days that I actually get to work (or if we take a longer drive somewhere). How I did it: I had a bunch of books set back to send along on bookcrossings. One thing I've noticed is that I keep getting bookcrossing books on paperback swap. I don't send them out there, because they belong on bookcrossing, at least to me. But since bookcrossing seems to be a minor priority with me these days, maybe that's okay. Read how I did it…
1. I made it through the day. It was the receptionist’s day off. Steve left at three (since that was the schedule). I was tickled to have one of the bosses come through and see how busy I was all by myself. I had people waiting and wouldn’t have if they’d let Steve stay.
2. The people that came in that didn’t speak English are coming back today when I’m not there.
3. Being able to cheer up Lou. Her family bites, or at least her sisters do.
1. A slow day at work. They were working on the street in front of the office, so very few came in.
