When my grandfather died, he left behind a Bible which is marked inside the back cover with the dates of when he finished reading the Bible all the way through – about 10 times in his lifetime. It’s a challenge and an inspiration to me to put my money where my mouth is and actually read all of this Word of God that I love.

I went with a friend to Harvard to pick up her brother for Christmas break this past December. We slept on his dorm floor for two days, ate in the dining hall, toured around Boston, Cambridge, and Salem – and attended one of his freshman bio lectures. It was the end of the semester, and when my friend joked that she wanted to raise her hand and ask how to cure cancer, her brother explained that that was basically what the focus of the entire semester had been, so the information in the lecture was complicated and a little hard to understand without background, but it was totally satisfying to be able to say I attended a Harvard biology class!
