The most common comment from other burners I’ve talked to when trying to communicate what “it” is sounds a bit like Morpheus from the matrix movie talking about the matrix “Unfortunately, no one can be told what burning man is. You have to see it for yourself.”
It is a party, first and foremost, but it is so much more… Art, music, dance, theater, miniature golf, roller disco, metallurgy, community. Spirituality…
Go ahead my friends, take the red pill.

But I’ve never felt that I’ve had this. More often than not I love them but I’m not loved as much in return. But I persist. I will not give up on love. Also, I do enjoy the romance I’ve experienced. So I can’t really complain. As with so much in my life, the journey is the reward. Perhaps there’s always one who loves more than the other. I’m guessing that its probably more common than both partners feeling love equally. A message to those folks that have found this:
Cherish it!

Except in the rain. ;-)
Actually it is very romantic. I loved it, though I really love kissing anyway. It was a fantastic end to a really wonderful weekend with my lover. I love the rain as well. Rain + kissing + my wonderful friend = bliss.
