This summer the fig tree grew a bit and is now taller than me. Next summer I won’t plant anything around it, so it can have all the sun. Let’s hope for delicious fruit in a year and a half (it ususally takes total of around 3 years).

We saw one of their shows while in Vegas. It was amazing! I’d like to see some others when we go again. One girl was spinning so many hoops and was bing raised in the air on a strap. Seemed impossible but she did it.
After the fig we bought last fall froze,we just got a second one. It’s still in a pot, but after hubby buys some sand and mixes it in the back yard for proper drainage he’ll plant it. Hey, the hole is already there :)
A friend of mine made me try it a few years ago and now I love it and crave it and want to get it every time I see sushi in the store. We even go to the Asian market and I get all the products and make it myself. I can even do inside-out rolls, topped with sesame seeds or fish roe. Yum-yum!
After 10 days of tearing down wallpaper, sanding glue strips and patching ripped paper on drywall, I have somewhat smooth walls to paint. And let’s not forget the ceiling – 2 coats of ultra white shoud do it.
We picked a very refreshing light green color – Zen Mist for the walls – now after the first coat it looks awesome. Too bad I had to take the light fixture out – painting with a floor light kinda gets in my way. But tonight a ceiling fan with a light will be up and will make the second coat so much easier.
We also picked an oil rubbed bronze faucet to match the vanity light. It goes beautifully with the light green walls!
One more room closer to my goal!
A month and a half after we’re moved into the house, I have the dining & living rooms done. The master bedroom is almost finished, just have to spash the burgundy for the accent wall. But that’s gonna take a while since we discovered water damage on the floor and had to rip it up :(
After that I’ll do the baths – the powder room is almost patched up and sanded, just a top coat today and I can start painting tomorrow. It’s gonna be an awesome light delicate green with oil brushed bath fixtures and lights.
