I felt right (see previous posts).
Today i can say my people skills are enhanced. I tend to be silent as my mom (= kid), rather assertive as a man. I had a conflict at work with my boss (ex-military). I even impressed myself. My colleagues (employees mentality) called my crazyman (I was imprevizibil for them, for my bosses, for my love). And i didn’t used politics (using a power broker to silence my boss), but rather my communication skills, logic and trust in our boss fairness (is a she).
Also i told just one of my four coleagues about the money prize i’m offering to the persons that introduced me the next president or tresurer of “our” charity. It created word by mouth publicity and i get a prove and a feed back on it.
On the mistakes side, i picked the wrong moment to ask questions to the financial manager of my company about contracting sport services from our charity. ALso i did it on the rush, so i didn’t explained her enough that i just want to understand the corporate mentality. Later i found the answer “listening” at an agent visiting our company. He contacted an achizition rep, not the top management (which is rather politic, selective or prudent). I remembered that an author wrote about that in an sales/ marketing book (Kotler ?).
I finish with good news:- I sensed that this crisis is an opportunity for leasing personell deals,
- I told blue-collar workers that the rumors are hardly true, cause german and romanian management are aware that 1 000 workers are not coming back if they are send in unemployment condition.
- I told to the middle managers that were complaining to my, that specialised peoples are living company = worst times possible, that only the strongest survives this period. And i understood that level of pay and of the benefits glue us togheter. Now i’m sure that i need another comapany. First i acknowledged that when i felt that to be in a family business is not my goal. Anyway it was a step toward my calling.
