Why do people look at me like I have three heads when I do this? I have a hard enough time giving compliments, but when they finally come out of my mouth, most people just stare or shrug it off.
This should be THE most simple goal on my list, so WHY is it so complicated?
I’ve been doing better via expressing my appreciation to family members. I’m not out right able to say “I love you” to their faces most of the time, but I do sometimes say it on the phone when hanging up, or sometimes in emails. I am trying to do more things like staying in touch better, revealing more personal intricacies about myself and my faults.
This seems to cause my friends and family to be more open to me as well, or at least this is my perception so far.
I hope that in time, this gets easier.

I could be better, but for the most part, things are ok.
Cole: Needs discipline. I’m trying to be better with this and I’ve started a new plan of giving him time in the guest room for time outs, and when he acts up while in the car or out in public, he goes to this room when he returns home.
Aidan: He needs time outs as well, but it’s more difficult to make him take them. I’m working on it.
Eli: I am trying to spend more time with him at night. I cannot often do this because of work, but about half of the time I do. He has me half the day as well, so I don’t feel too badly about it.
Overall: I spend some time with them in the mornings and much more at night. Discipline is still lacking, but I am getting stronger with it.

small setback
I’ve been so stressed with my finances and some marital concerns, that I stopped my yoga and pilates practice. I unintentionally ended up gaining 15 pounds back, and easily at that. That’s the bad news. The good news is that I have gotten back into the program, going to the gym everyday for yoga, pilates or weight training/cardio classes. I’m feeling better after only two days of the program.
I’m trying the meal replacement options with plenty of yummy but healthy snacks in between, by leansource.com and I also take their supplements, which seem to be giving me superwoman energy levels.
I get the kids off to school, go to my exercise, come home to eat and work, and then spend time with them in the evenings..then work again. Sometimes, I do another yoga session in the evening, too.
I’m looking forward to the result.
