Scheduling is the key, which is mandatory when you have an infant and three other kids 10 and under. I clean during certain times, work during certain times, etc. But I’m rarely just farting around anymore.

This happened because people in my household were using the internet so often and so incorrectly that they broke two of my computers. So I got an Ipad. They broke it. So I got a Nook. They broke that, too. I was just given a Samsung Galaxy and it hasn’t broken yet, but I don’t use it. My husband pretty much stole it from me. I have limited myself to twice a day on the computer. Having a baby helps this goal a lot! I have also limited my children to ONCE a day. I only get twice because I work on the computer. It has really helped our family to not be so internet addicted.
Maybe I was born in the wrong era. I felt better when communication with family was like the bread and butter of life- when the handshake and the hug was more important than the text or tweet.
I did try this goal but I found that when I did do it, people didn’t seem to be mentally healthy enough to know how to take the compliment or respond (except close family like my Mom). The less of a positive response I received the less I wanted to complete this goal. Sorry for being negative but it is what it is!
