How I did it: sat down and thought about cool gift ideas, listed them researched them and decided.I went with the small chunk of land which means my nephew can be 'Laird Will' i thought it was cool. Read how I did it…
How I did it: found journal, wrote in the instructions and gave/set them. Pretty simple, pretty self explanitory, what they then did i don't know but hopefully they followed the instructions. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well, my boy is 4 months now and so i think i can succsesfully say i did this, i'm still going though. Monday i return to work so he will have formula during the day but still breast milk in teh afternoons and evenings. Read how I did it…
See all "How I Did It" stories...
With a 10 wk old baby i was almost ready to say i’d done this, which i have, for the last 10 weeks BUT we recently traveled to the UK (from australia) and its a long way and so i made sure i had lots of frozen milk for teh trip, unfortunately in not feeding my sone directly for most of 3 days my milk supply has gone done and it sucks, i had managed to feel freeer (i have a fear of public breastfeeding) becuase i had been expressing atleast 100ml in a morning to take out with us in the afternoon, unfortunately i can’t get that much any more and it means i feel very tied down AGAIN and then i decided to ensure he got enough to give a bit of formula but of course not having him sucking means i won’t increase it all…SOOO today i had a bit of a tantrum at my family’s decision to
go for a big walk and then lunch somewhere nice’ because i don’t find walking with a 10 wk old baby much fun, he hates his carrier and they pick walks that are not even all terraine-pram friendly… and then he gets upset and hungry and i don’t have enough milk expressed to take with us and its quite hard to breastfeed on a muddy track…
ANYWAY so today we are staying home and i am going to express for 15 mins each hr to stimulate milk flow, as well as feedin lil man…letd see.
I’ve always believed that my gut knows more then my brain cares about…that is that the times i don’t trust my gut i end up wishing i had. I think that as a mother this might be the best tool i have. Already during labour i trusted my intuition when it said ‘get up off the bed’ my mum and midwife were both agast at the suggestion i had to get up, but i felt it and i gave birth standing up, something i NEVER thought i’d do, but gravity was on my side that way and the pushing screaming part only lasted 15mins or so and i had a beautiful baby boy….start as you mean to go on i reckon, and i intend to trust my intuition first and foremost.
