Samurai 7, which was much anticipated, and then failed to satisfy most people when it came out a few years ago. Didn’t get into then, but watching it now is…fun, even if the action and plot are dragged out. But what do you expect when they turn a medium-length movie into a full TV series?

Okay, I managed to do this. The trick for me was to learn the keyboard shortcuts, and configure QT for my mostly GTK desktop. I love the integrated download manager, and ability to download every link almost at once. It’s amazing how many features are built-in, that Firefox needs extensions to match, yet Opera continues to beat Firefox performance-wise.
Nevertheless, I found myself backsliding a month ago. Some very important websites wouldn’t render or respond correctly in Opera, but did in Firefox. Also, I got onto a video kick, and found that they wouldn’t play well in Opera.
I’d been desperately buying pre-packaged brownie mixes. Then I noticed our pantry was full of everything needed to make brownies from scratch. So I hunted down a recipe, and did it AND IT WAS GOOD!
But the recipe can use some tweaking. And every time I see more sugar than flour in the recipe, I cringe (and a little sugar fairy has its first orgasm).
As far as the cookies go, we keep more peanut butter than chocolate chips on hand, so I usually make PB cookies. And as good as they are, I have no wish to combine them with brownie. Just, no.
So, I’ve gotten nowhere with this goal.
