That one was simple. Canceled my internet access and suddenly computer became a very boring thing.

found the right one :-)
I’ve been a regular donor for 3 years now. In Austria, males can donate every 2 months, 6 times a year. Did it 22 times now. You do something for the community, you get a free checkup (Cholesterol, STD’s), you get cholocate free (yup.. 2 bars max) and every 5th visit, you get a present :-) Bottle of Wine, etc.
Been vegetarian for 2 years. Lost 60 pounds (192->132) but also a lot of muscle tissue. Got everything back plus some more. Not my thing.
For 35.- a year i can lend out all the Music i used to download – without the fear of a lawsuit.
And they have books, too :-)
i live with 43 plants on 46 square meters :-) Not too crowded because most of them are small (2inch cactus). But it gives the rooms a very special ambiente. Very relaxing.
Seen it while doing military service in ‘99. Everybody got an hour off to really enjoy it and it was MASSIVE. We were right in the middle of the shadow (the military operation was planned that way :-) There were cows nearby that got really nervous. Seconds before it, there came a strange silence over the scene, then wind came up and than the shadow went from east to west i think over us. Will remember it my whole life. (Wont happen here for.. 70 years i think)
I did Netscape, i did Mozilla, Phoenix, Firebird now Firefox. Everything that’s not Mirosoft is my thing :) Installed Firefox even on my Dad’s computer before Christmas. (And the combination is working, really :)
Try leaving sugars and short carbohydrates out of your diet. Gave me a huge energy burst.
Have been using linux exclusively for 5 years now.. On my home machine. Even on my machine at work for half a year (they said as long as i could fire up that vmware and edit those Word documents in case it’s needed..).
For me it has to do with learning. My system is never “perfect”. I install new things, i switch from KDE to Gnome to IceWM :-)
You simply have to invest time. (Well with windows, you have to reinstall twice a year…:-)
I terminated my internet contract effective.. today :-) 3 hours left. Then i only have internet at the office, which should be sufficient since i can go there all the time and surf / download all i want.
I’ve been doing Lowcarb for 2 years now. In the beginning, more strictly, now a little less. Leaving sugar out of my diet helped me to loose 12kgs (24 pounds) in the beginning, now it helps me to keep my weight. Beware of that “hidden” sugars.
Did a seminar at the austrian wine academy. Not cheap (150€), but you learn a lot (in 2 days). You also drink a lot (tasted 25 wines, you had to write a comment about each). You have to do an exam at the second day (its a lot harder after “tasting” all that wine). But if you are sitting and drinking a bottle with your friends and you can tell a few things, its priceless.
I have drunken lots of coffee – i’m a software developer. didn’t really help me. It’s more important to have a quiet environment, not have to answer the phone ever few minutes or colleagues who want to chat. Don’t work more that 40 hours a week, do 40 and focus on the job. If you need, use tea.
I’m living in a small “library” myself, but there’s ppl there, and girls :-)
