Definitely one of the best things I’ve ever done!
I lived in Japan for a year. My suggestion would be to be really open minded and be able to laugh at yourself…also…don’t spend all your time looking for and hanging out with english speakers…meet some locals…it makes it so much more meaningful!

i think you can find instructions online…my suggestion is to fold everything both ways first. that is:
fold in half diagonally along the two diagonals
fold in half along the width and the height
turn it over and do these four folds again
youll find that for the first couple of steps it totally helps things fall into place. that will give you a good starting point

I started out at about 12 doing little house parties and stuff…At that time all I had was a boombox some speakers and a discman…i had to change the cd’s really quickly to try and keep the music going…it took until about highschool before i got a real mixer…started out with cds (Numark) but went to vinyl waaaaaay more fun…even with the advent of serato i still think nothing beats real vinyl…mostly did small mobile stuff: house parties, school dances, stuff like that…don’t really dj anymore…now im getting a little more into production…but being a dj is definitely one of my fondest memories!
