buy a house right now. The trouble is that I don’t particularly love my job and may end up moving when my contract is up. I’m also farther away from my family than I’d like to be. But paying $550 a month to live in a place that will never be mine is sometimes a little depressing. I would love to own a home that I can paint the way I want to and do with what I please. I would like to have a yard and an area to plant a garden. The problem is that I most likely can’t get approved for the amount that I would need to buy a house that I would really want.
I’m going to utilize this goal to post pictures of homes that are similar to what I would like, just as somewhat of a vision board.

How I did it: I started this dumb soup diet, lasted one day, and then was sick the next day. I decided to try not to drink any more because I'd been meaning to try and wean myself off of it for health and weight reasons. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I went to Drury University because it was one of the two colleges that had branch campuses in my rural area. I enrolled as a secondary ed major and left as an elementary ed major. I had great teachers, made great friends, and eventually transfered up to the main campus to finish up my degree. I never once thought about dropping out because I knew that if I did, I'd have to start paying on student loans in 6 months, haha.… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I bought a PRAXIS II study guide for test 0011 (Elementary School Curriculum and Instruction Assessment) for $40, took the practice tests that were in the back of the book and failed miserably! I was so paranoid about taking the test because of those stupid tests in the book. They were worded so strangely, the right answers were not on some of the questions because it wanted you to pick the "most correct" answer, which was rar… Read how I did it…

I am going to give this a try yet again, because the gaining on a weekly basis is just getting out of control. Here’s my plan:
Write down everything I eat.
Consciously eat and choose good things to eat.
Make a point to do some exercise every day, even if it’s just for a few minutes.
Beginning weight is 183.
Not the holiday itself, but the materialism. I do not need more stuff!!!! If I tell someone that I don’t need anything for Christmas, they will buy me something anyway, which is kind, but seriously… I don’t need it. If they want to buy me a jug of Tide or some Charmin, I would be greatful. That’s what I need.
I was wrapping some Christmas presents last night (yes, already…) and I was just brooding about how material the holiday is. I love seeing the excitement on my child’s face when she opens presents, but some children do not get to do that. I wish that some of the stuff that she gets (and doesn’t need) could go to someone that does need it. But my family doesn’t want to deprive her, of course. When I moved back in July, I still had a laundry basket of received gifts that needed a place in my house.
I love seeing everyone at Christmas, it’s the only time that I get to see some of the people. But this year my money is tight (much like everyone else in the country it seems) and I can’t afford to buy anything elaborate for anybody. I have done a lot of my shopping at Dollar Tree. I feel ashamed, too. But why? None of the people I am buying for need this stuff (expensive or not) any more than I do.
I love the time of year, I love the holiday (although I’m not Christian), I love seeing everyone, I love getting together for dinner, I love seeing lights and decorations. But I despise the stuff. It seems out of control.
