learn actionscript

I’ve bought two books, one entitled Macromedia Flash Advanced, and Building Flash Web Pages for Dummies. I am not really a dummy, and I know how to code, I just don’t know how to integrate code into graphics, and where exactly to put the code. Hopefully these books will help me learn.
