Last week, I bought an used imported Honda called an AX-1 (250 cc, twin cam, 4 valve, liquid cooled,), which is found predominantly in Asian countries. She is old (1990) and although in really good shape, it was a tough decision.
But whatever, I think she will serve its purpose; through the internet I learnt that in countries like the Philippines, and Vietnam these bikes are used by motorcycle tour companies, and that is just what I plan to do with mine. And as I was taking it home, I saw the exact same motorbike, I will take it as an omen.

I started in June by buying a pair of running shoes, worked my way up to 5 kms by September. All October I packed on the kms and by November 12th I did my first 10 km race. I finished at 1:10; I could have done better but I got killer shin splints along the way, and walked a km or so. For about a month afterwards, I found it difficult to walk. I likely did too much too fast, but it was so worth it. I am taking a breather to give myself some healing. But I will be back at it soon.
Good Luck. Give’ er!

Got this about three weeks ago, it hurt more than my others (maybe because it is on my forearm) and it has been slow to heal (I will likely have to get it touched up), but all in all, so worth it. I will soon be making this a goal again, however, none will be as special as this, it marks one year living abroad, as well as a 500 km trek in Patagonia.
