Despite my concerns about hitting the right key and the pitch of my voice wavering, I sang two songs with a family band last weekend. While I probably won’t be winning American Idol anytime soon, I did hit the songs mostly right and more importantly overcame my issues with singing, out loud, into a microphone, in front of a crowd.

After four years at the gym and maintaining a reasonable diet I’ve really hit a plateau in my goal, so I’ve decided to try some more radical methods and get considerably more aggressive. So I’ve set up a blog to track my progress in month-long chunks called The 30 Day Project. I’ll be using that as daily motivation to get down to where I want to be weight-wise.
I’d like to note that this isn’t some phony come-on for a weight loss product. In fact I’m probably going to alternate techniques and products to achieve my goal. Just FYI, I’m not a spammer. I’m a real guy who’s tired of not looking good with my shirt off.
I’m about 18 months away from being (relatively) debt free. That may sound like a long time to you, but this has been 4+ years in the making and now I can see light. I’ve done it with the help of a scrupulous debt assistance company and the moral support of loved ones. So it’s a collective victory. But I can’t wait to put this thing in my “Things I’ve Done” category.
