In the Okavango Delta- an outside shower by myself, at sunset, with birds all around and good, hot water. Heaven.

Because my mother is here, I have essentially no time to go and do alone-treats. so two things I did alone while adventuring with my moother were:
-Climbing to the top of the overlook at the Cape of Good Hope
-Taking a nap on the rocks just south of the Southernmost Point in Africa
Disappointing. the characters got to big and weird and what hapened to them was so outlandish that, while it’s fun for the first 50 pages, afterw that it’s quite dull.
Again, a few words at exactly the right time. I really do love his writing, even when it feels silly or obvious. When it’s on, it is SO on.
this has new importance. I made delicious spicy vegetable stew for her last night, and I’ll make oatmeal in a few minutes. I want her to really feel healthier after this trip, and part of that is my responsibility to feed her well!
Reader! Please help me in this challenge! I have only a few weeks left, but nobody has picked a goal for me to complete! What can I do?
A beautiful Quaker book. Simple, giving a solid base of the fundamentals of Quakerism. Lovely.
Went by myself to the open mic poetry at Touch of Madness. Really nice, and I just soaked up the words, had a delicious chai and a sandwich, enjoyed every second.
“The story of Stanley Daniels’ big ‘move up’ in the world. This is a play that in the most creative and innovative way, questions the notion of ‘bigger is better’ consumerism. This is an excellently performed piece where physical theatre, masks puppetry and multimedia projections all mix together to create a feast for the senses”

I must leave South africa in one month. This means that, while many of these goals are ongoing (30 before 30, make my body strong and beautiful, etc.) are ongoing, many are not.
Please pick a goal from my list to complete before July 31, and I will see which one gets the most support, and do it!
Thank you for the motivation, guys.

Last Sunday I went and sang/performed with a father and son duo. I essentially invited myself and we found some great songs in common, and I was treated to dinner (I literally sang for my supper) and got to see a wild bluegrass band play (I get to sing a tune or two with them tomorrow). It might be my best Artist Date yet!
I have completely successfully done yoga at least once a week for the last 6 weeks, but only once did I do it twice a week. Thus, I’m shifting my goal to reflect how I’ve actually been able to include a regular yoga practice in my life
the Book Fair! I took myself to three really interesting lectures, bought a new journal for my morning pages, looked at tons and tons of books, and had a really wonderful morning.
1) waking up with my alarm clock
2) Putting on water for tea and oats
3) writing my morning pages
4) Picking my Chopra cards
If I can successfully do that every morning this week, I’ll add in some yoga!

Only 14, and I’m 26 years old. Sixteen countries in four years- that’s four countries a year. I hope to visit Botswana and Namibia this year, which would almost get me on track. If I start working in London and do just one short trip somewhere I will be on track. At least I feel confident that I can reach 20 countries by 30!
Both the National Gallery and an afternoon walking by myself by the sea, complete with a very nice pastry and wading up to my knickers in the waves.
I learned a few moves from a friend in the cabin this weekend. Not a proper class, but so much fun!
