my school friend c, whom i have known for about 25 years, came to visit and brought her four month old son to meet me. they only stayed for a couple of hours, but it was lovely to see them. it was nice to have some baby cuddles. it’s been about 18 months since i last saw her, so we had a good catch up. i always feel so comfortable with her because we know each other so well and there is never any pretense.

How I did it: i planned a route and got out the door and went for it. i got a bit lost and walked further than i had planned. it was beautiful, especially because at this time of year there are bluebells and the new leaves on the beech trees are velvety soft.i almost turned my ankle at one point. i was fortunate not to hurt myself - it really is worth getting some walking boots that support your ankles. How I did it: signed up for the windsor half marathon almost as soon as entries opened. downloaded the training schedule and did my best to stick to it. gradually increased my mileage week on week, up to an 11 mile run a week and a half before. it was exciting every week to think,"i've never run this far before!"enjoyed the atmosphere on the day, didn't plan to run too fast, only to try and run the whole way. there were a couple… Read how I did it…
How I did it: followed a running plan to increase my fitness little by little. turned up on the day, got VERY wet in the rain, and then ran slowly without stopping the whole way. when there were a few little hills i kept telling myself 'i love hills!' until i got to the top. Read how I did it…
