My dad would always emphasize on the importance of your appearance… how to wear your hair and hold your posture and dress neatly and properly. I stopped caring about these things a long time ago; I mean, I definately keep up with my hygiene, but other than that, how out of place my hair is or how slouched I sit and stand or how old and wrinkled my clothes are no longer matters! I want people to see my true self on the inside, and that starts with my true self on the outside! If people are so shallow that they can’t accept me for my appearance long before they consider how kind and honest of a person I am, they aren’t exactly good people themselves…

How I did it: How did I really? Open mouth, place sushi in mouth, chew, swallow. In all seriousness, I love having the opportunity to try new foods; in fact it's kind of a goal in itself for me to try as many different foods as possible, no matter how weird it may seem. Like with sushi, I don't regret having tried anything I ate and didn't like, because at least now I have the knowledge that I don't like that particular thing. Without variety, my taste… Read how I did it…
How I did it: It's illegal to purchase turtles in NC as a pet, so I bought my turtle and supplies online. Setup the tank, put the turtle in the tank, fed it, watched the tank get dirtier and dirtier, bought necessary cleaning supplies and whatnot, etc... Read how I did it…
How I did it: I went to an animal shelter (one that was kinda far out because the city shelter would have been too expensive, and I felt better going to the one I did because it was a no-kill shelter). Kitty is the 4th cat I've had; with the first 3, stuff kept coming up that I couldn't keep them, like with the last one which turned out to be mean after he got out of the kitten phase, no matter how nice I was to him. I only started getting cats after I… Read how I did it…

I’ve lived in this same mobile home since I was a kid, just over time a parent has been substituted out for a boyfriend. I don’t have a problem with mobile homes at all; in fact, I prefer them because they’re cheaper to maintain and are just enough space if not many people are living there. The problem I have is the monotony. This house is all dark inside… brown walls, worn brown carpet, brown and black furniture. Any shade of color in here that was supposed to be light (such as the ceiling) is now dingy colored due to age and smokers. The lighting doesn’t seem to do much for this house either, aside from cast a pale yellow glow onto the dreary environment. I’ve tried to lighten it up a bit by changing around positions of furniture and other items, getting a new shower curtain, having one room painted white, and getting rid of junk so that the house will appear to be more open. I’m planning to put new shades up over the windows, and I really wish that I could get more rooms painted, not that I think it would make much of a difference (it hardly seems to for the one small room I had painted).
I need a change of environment; frankly, this house depresses me. I want to live in another one, even another mobile home, where everything looks new and bright and light colored, and the carpets are fluffy and are a pretty color like blue. I also would like the rooms to be larger and more open (even if that means fewer rooms), and I would really like a larger bathtub which I actually relax in for once. New furniture would also be a plus; the newest piece of furniture here is the couch which I only got as a chance sort of thing when someone was giving away one… it’s big and soft and comfy; I’d like more chairs and a new bed like that, and other pretty new furniture would be nice too. I don’t even want to live on the same street, in the same area; I wanna live somewhere far away, even in another state if possible. I’m really wanting a dream home; it doesn’t have to be huge and expensive, but one fitting my description would be so nice. Maybe someday, I’m hoping…
And I know I’ve got plenty of watchable material that I haven’t yet watched, so I’m able to do this. I have been watching quite a few movies lately anyway, why not make it a regular habit? My most preferred genres are horror and scifi/fantasy, but sometimes I want to make an exception and watch something kinda light and funny like a Disney movie.
