So I’m actually not too sure where this should go, but I just popped a bottle of Boylan’s cola from Hennesy’s next door. I havn’t had to many sodas as of lately since they are full of high fructose corn syrup etc etc, but I needed a caffeen fix and I didn’t want to push the coffee. Their Sugar Cane Cola is pretty darn tastey and doesn’t leave a nasty feel in your mouth. Its not as sharp as a standard cola taste and less sugary? (I just made that up) try it out.

so the benefits of having friends who work in upscale dining is getting a nice 50% knocked off of the tab come end of meal. We decided to get some breakfasty foods at around 1 pm today and drove over to russian hill where my friends roomate works and ordered a shitload of food. I think we had around 7 plates between the three of us for brunch, starting off with some freshly squeezed orange juice and a starter of fresh foi gras with baby pickles and caramelized onions spread over pumpkin seed bread. The rest of the carnage included a nice rare hanger steak with onion jelly, an openfaced hamburger (made in house from 1 steak) with blue cheese and onions on rye toast, a soft omelet with spinach and pancetta, French toast (no ordinary toast, they cut it open and fill it with apple chunks and spices then do the whole French toast thing so they look like fat little pyramids of golden wonderfullness) a chicken hash with 2 turned eggs on top, some great mac n cheese like none I have had before, and tuna tartar with a mint pesto garnish.
all for 50$
(split between 3 people)
damn. I’m satiated.
Well this ones not going so well… seeing as I’m currently snacking on a tube of planters honey roasted peanuts… pretty darn sure there is some sort of processing going on in the honey rosting part of a peanuts life.
Anyways, a good thing to help is shopping at whole foods, most of their packaged goods are low processed and none of them contian partially hydrogenated oils.
