Ran one last fall. Didn’t come in last (yay!) but I discovered that running is boring as all get out, as well as painful. I prefer to walk :)

being a woman, but I don’t know why I have rejected so many of the things that women do. I want to get up early and dry my hair and put up makeup before I leave the house, instead of moisturizing in the car and dripping dry on the way to work. I want to find a fantastic skirt that goes with everything and wear it instead of pants. I want to own matching undergarments, and buy tops that are fashionable, not just sensible.
I want to be the kind of woman that has girlfriends (I have always had all male friends) and goes out and does things with them, and exchanges sappy friendship cards that say things about shopping and lipstick and men.
And I want to feel more like the grownup that my students see, and less like the awkward teenager I still have inside.
Last year I finally married my high-school sweetheart! It was the most beautiful day.
