minus the cultural/spiritual hokery. I find it pretty relaxing. I know lots of folks that consider it witchcraft. But you never hear witches or gurus saying that meditation is a craft that is “theirs”. Noone puts a claim to it. Except witch-crazy religiousites, and they’re accusing not claiming.
I figure if speed-reading from a bible won’t make you a christian than yoga won’t make you a hindu.

and then not give a damn when I succeed. that seems to be the way it works. Whenever you feel you’ve “arrived” it becomes meaningless and you generally find that you overrated what success might feel like. You could have decided to feel confident the whole time, its not like you need a rationale. Lots of people who are regarded as inferior in some way are treated very well and thought highly of simply because that person makes a completely arbitrary judgement about themselves and decides to feel confident… for no real reason.
The trick to feeling confident is to stop asking yourself whether or not you should be feeling this way. The judgement is based on pretty much nothing, you can feel like the Queen of England if you want to. Is someone gonna approach you and say “Hmm. I see your feeling confident mister. I’m gonna need to see some credentials.. to make sure you have a right to feel that way.” What would they compare you to? Why would you care?

and become deliriously wealthy :) I have nothing against money, it actually represents a kind of liberty and independence. I’d hate to be owned by it and squander it on useless status symbols. ‘Course that’s easy to say on this side of things :)
