and open up to new people, and old acquaintances that i never spent any real time with. i’m really enjoying letting my guard down and being open to new possibilities. it is difficult sometimes, especially because i am shy, but pushing this growing edge is well worth it. i am actually having some fun!
learning spanish and trusting my abilities to understand and put words together. i am great at reading spanish but speaking is different.
all i have to say is thank goodness for google translate!
i have begun to realize how pessamistic i have become because of fear and insecurities, which in turn has made me less motivated to do the things i really want to do. to live big and dream hard and well, make it happen.
note to self: lead with the positive foot – start out saying yes i can! and, don’t let minor set-backs become huge obstacles.
studio hunting and looking at old poems for song inspiration. i’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the processes – recording, musicians, lyrics, mixing, artwork, packaging, distribution – but people do this stuff all the time and so can i! one step at a time.
note to self: you’ve got the talent and people want to hear what you have to say. stop second guessing yourself. you have a duty to share your story and your gift!
i started taking lessons in september. once the sessions ended, in november, my work schedule got really busy and i haven’t had extra funds to take more lessons. bright side: i took the first step, now i just have to keep on walking…and practicing.
note to self: the guitar won’t play itself. get up offa that thing! :)
