Do 100 sit-ups daily for 100 consecutive days (read all 4 entries…)
Untitled 22 months ago

I dunno…I’d like to develope some abs, and through research online, I end up coming to the conclusion that sit-ups aren’t the ideal exercise for abs. So, as of now, I think I’ll quit this goal and simply continue on with my other goal, “100 Crunches for 100 Consecutive Days”, but jack it up to 200 crunches a day. Crunches are “felt” much more, and I feel like I may be wasting time with the sit-ups routine.
I also throw this routine in there several times a week, when I have time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CTHes6egx4 Seems like a good workout.

I’ve decided to add this goal in conjunction with “100 Sit-Ups for 100 Consecutive Days”, which I’ve been working at for nearly a month. You definately “feel” crunches more…
I’m hoping to develope some abs. When summer time hits, I can bike again!

be more confident
Untitled 23 months ago

I need more confidence in regards to public speaking and whatnot, and presenting before a big group of people (at school). And perhaps when approaching new personal projects of mine (which might seem daunting at first to me).
But I definately despise public speaking, I stutter, I tremble, and sometimes I just choose to avoid it altogether and miss out on the marks. I don’t know what it is…because, I’ll tell myself it’s not a big deal to be up there in front of people you know (in class), but Christ… Each time a presentation comes around, I imagine, “This one’s gonna go smooth. Cool and collected…”
Meh…

Interesting Video 23 months ago

I’m going to try and do these excercises on top of the 100 sit-ups.

The sit-ups have to be done for sure each night though, for the goal’s sake!

A week. 23 months ago

Tonight is night seven. I’ve had to do 200 tonight because I missed my set on Friday night (I was simply too tired after my eleven-hour shift in the kitchen). This isn’t a hard routine at all really. It doesn’t eat up much time either, definately worth it. I can’t WAIT till the snow’s gone and the air’s warmer so I can go biking again in combination with this!

Cheese 23 months ago

And apparently, eating cheese before bed helps induce dreams in general. Might want to research that one yourself, I haven’t looked into it much. Could just be an age-old myth like it sounds, but I’ve been told it causes your stomach to start working or something, which…ehh, not so sure.

I’ve only been in control of my dreams twice (only counting those instances that lasted for more than a few seconds). I can’t say I was necessarily “practising” lucid dreaming fully at the time either, but I knew it was possible.
Though I might not have experienced much lucidity in actual dreams yet, I have had many a “hypnagogic hallucination” and been trapped in “sleep paralysis” on many occasions (which doesn’t scare me so much anymore).

Here’s a link on lucid dreaming:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dream#Wake-initiation_of_lucid_dreams_.28WILD.29

And if you experience the hypnagogic hallucinations and sleep paralysis, here’s an interesting fictional interpretation (folklore):

There are devices you can buy that apparenty aid in keeping you aware well asleep (a blindfold you wear, that blinks before your eyes as you sleep). I’ve thought about it…but, meh…I’d imagine you could pick this skill up eventually.

It seems like quite the experience; imagine being able to do it each time you sleep? I wonder if you’d become mentally exhausted after a while…

Whooo, boy…am I out of shape at the moment, heheh.
Well, I’m doing alright in increments of twenty, and then fifteen.
This is my first night of this particular routine.
