So in sticking to my new years resolutions, I booked my learners permit test for this Thursday. I also went out and got myself a fancy pants new car to learn in, and for the added incentive of getting my license (who’s going to want to get to get their licence if they have to borrow their boyfriends car all the time when they can just get him to drive you around?)
Go me!

I have a few. I guess they have just gotten backed up for a few years : S
1. Learn French! My sister is learning Spanish and has been for the past year so I’ve decided to abandon this goal and trade it for the oh so sexy French language!
2. Join the local orchestra. I have a $3.5k flute, and I know how to use it. I really should put it to use…
3. Get my liscence! I’m 21, and should of had it when I was 18. I guess there’s nothing else to say for this!
4. Be healthier. This includes getting fit and eating right. After Christmas I think this is going to be on a few peoples lists!
5. Get better at my job. I think after a year I should try and learn what I’m actually doing!
I’ve neglected my goals for too long, and they just seem to be building up.
Although, I HAVE learnt something new, but due to being in the space of about a year it’s kind of expected, so I won’t be taking this goal down, and rather just adding to it.
Saying that I’ve learnt one thing new in the past year doesn’t really justify saying I completed it does it?
Anyway, I learnt to cook! This kind of just ties in with my ‘eating healthier’, but I DID IT! For someone who can actually BURN two minute noodles because they forgot to put the water in, this is quite an achievement. It’s taken a lot of persistence and tears but I’ve eventually gotten there. I’m the person who, without fail, can ruin a recipe no matter how simple. Like using bi-carb instead of baking powder. I’m sure being blonde doesn’t help either. The amount of times boyfriend has come home and there’d be a cake on the floor and flour through my hair and I’d be wailing over the sink, is countless.
Nonetheless, I have my beautiful stack of cookbooks, a calmer mind, a little bit more concentration and maybe taking a little more than an hour to cook a 5 minute meal, but I’m there : )
