How I did it: In a nutshell, networking. Ken (the conductor) had leads he hadn't used up yet, as did I. Many phone calls and emails, describing the scene, and asking for what we wanted, including other referrals. The last guy to sign up was a miracle - one of the players I'd asked, who couldn't play, referred a new guy with an extensive resume. Ken and I filled up the gaps together. Second day of vacation. Spent yesterday cleaning up and reorganizing the cat room. Needed it. Also made the room work for easily packing and shipping items. Started listing items on ebay and did some gardening. Started to get ideas for the future as well as taking care of the immediate.
Must go back to work tomorrow at the J.O.B., but have Friday thru following Tuesday off to get back to this stuff. Huzzah!
Viki came home yesterday from her meeting all lit up, set up to take her training in a month and work in partnership with the existing teacher up here!
Huzzah! Half a day’s work in the new endeavor can replace a week’s worth at the current hourly J.O.B. Way to go!
We live in a nice double wide manufactured home on a meadow. I am happy and grateful to have this home and property. It serves us well. Yet, it needs care and will need upgrades in the future. My wife wants a piano room and a grand piano. All of that points to another house, or at least a substantial, stick-built addition to this one. I want a basement and I’m not sure what else, but that will come.
