Had a best friend, so I thought. Laid my heart on the line and gave my all to the friendship. Unfortunately for me, being a true giver of the heart, I learned, too late, of course, this “friend” knew how to take, but never did give back. Ever. Had to learn the hard way she wasn’t the friend I thought she was. The friend she told me she would always be. That sucked hard! But, I’m not bitter or cynical about it (not much anyways) and if’n I am, I WILL get over it. Life is far too short to cry long, I figure. But another life’s lesson learned. Hope this doesn’t affect my ability to trust another enough to allow them close enough again. Oh well, c`est le vie. Tomorrow, after all, is another new day!

The beautiful Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area is where this picture was captured at. The fog was rolling from east to west, which is backwards here. It comes from the ocean, not inland. No wind made for an awesome reflection of the Cascade Mts on the river. This was taken in mid Feb. Makes one wonder if Lewis and Clark saw this during their great Journey to the Pacific and return journey home. They made winter camp in the area during their expedition in 1805-06
Don’t forget that a lot of the local high schools have educational courses offered at night. Also some city/county parks and rec depts offer things like this. Check them out. Don’t limit yourself to looking at colleges, etc. Might try asking at some local camera stores whether or not they have any recommendations. Just follow your dream. I did and am now having one of my pictures published this fall. That was my first real photography goal after winning best amature photog at county level 2 years in a row. So, I say, JUST DO IT!!
