Well, it was just such a journey. I am so thankful to be done. What happened is this – I got my son in March of 2006. He had been born in Aug. 05 and picked up by CPS in December. He is my cousin’s baby – all of his aunts called me and said they had told CPS that I might be interested in taking the baby (“don’t be mad at me, but I told CPS…”) and then CPS called. My ONLY reservation about taking the baby was fighting with his birth mom when she wanted him back! Things went more smoothly than I ever imagined. In October of 06, the birth dad’s rights were terminated and the birth mom signed possery conservatorship over to me. Then in June of 07, she waived all her rights. I had to update my home study and then 2 weeks ago, we finalized! It is so awesome!

Well, I already have the baby – now I just need the paperwork done! And it almost is! Thank heavan.
