I assisted the class… it was great. Next step is to become a CGC rater!

Just to summarize, over the winter, my big goofy dog Morgan took the CGC and TDI therapy dog test. She’s never taken any formal classes, but we work with her whenever the opportunity presents itself. So, there was a testing in January – and Poof! She passed both tests. In February, I took a CGC test with one of my other dogs, Isabel, a pitt labbie mix. The class was good – lots of positive reinforcement (treats) and new experiences (field trips and scavenger hunts), but Isabel still has some “issues” to get over. (she hates men with beards.. and hats.. and bikes..) sigh.
So last week I started assisting in the next CGC class. Different instructors, but I like them a lot. Hopefully I’ll get some good ideas.
Yippee
My 2 year old labbie just passed her canine good citizen and therapy dog international test! I’m so proud of her. Now I just have to get my other dog CGI/TDI rated.
