It was as craptastic as everyone said it was. (But I didn’t really burn it. I gave it to a friend, saving her from wasting money on her own copy.)
RIP, Twilight obsession :(

I just finished college & moved back home, so now I’m faced with the daunting task of meshing my past belongings with everything I’ve picked up during college. Of course, I’m a packrat so I’m trying to figure out how to make everything fit into my old room with minimal throw-aways.
Being a procrastinator is definitely not helping the cause.
STATUS: lots of boxes. & clothes. & books. & papers. ALL over. it’s been 3 weeks! i’ve managed to start 4 books, a scrapbooking project, writing a novel, learning new songs on the guitar, & my room’s still a disorganized mess.
the only thing i finished was my massive amount of laundry. but i haven’t gotten around to putting it all away yet…so i sleep curled up in an ittybitty corner of my bed while mountains of clothes take up the rest of it.

like the person below me, my definition of “groupie” doesn’t necessarily involve hooking up or casual sex. not that i think those are bad things….i’m not judgmental about sexual expression at all (& i’m not a prude, haha).
i’m just saying i always thought being a groupie meant following a band or musician along their tour, that’s all. Whether you’re a friend, acquaintance, or fan who’s never met them before. Sexual encounters are purely optional :P
Anyway, if my definition counts then i came pretty close to becoming a groupie a few weeks ago & will get the opportunity to try again next month. one of my favorite progressive hiphop groups (a duo, actually; a dj & an emcee) is involved in the same community activist movement as my friends. after several failed attempts, i finally met them & hung out after one of their shows (an underground hip hop tour feat. Hiero). a joke got carried away, & suddenly we were invited to follow them to Las Vegas (& possibly to Arizona & Texas before they hit the East Coast). but we live in Orange County & it was a sunday night…some people had work the next day. boo.
i was so bummed! i really wanted a random road trip. not to mention i’m in love with the DJ & would follow him anywhere. but their tour is bringing them to CA again next month, yay! they’ll be in the norcal area for 4 days, & this time we’re prepared so my working friends can request the time off. i hope it works out :)
