Right when I determined I would try the Couch to 5K running plan, I broke my toe. So now I’m just waiting for it to heal. I’ve tried a bunch of dietary approaches to weight loss and none work for me in the long run – it’s all about aerobic exercise. I’m a reasonable eater for the most part, but lately wonder if an appetite suppressant might help the process along a bit (in combination with the aerobics of course). I’m generally not into pills as an answer to anything, but if it’s the difference between success and failure, I’ll open my mind to it. Thoughts anyone? Is there a safe healthy appetite suppressant?

How I did it: Once I read about the "morning pages" my writer's block went away. I just get up a half hour early and write for 3 pages all the nonsense that comes out first thing in the morning before I'm completely awake. Let it flow, no judgement, totally private never to be seen by anyone else. It's just mental hygeine, cleaning out the gunk, like going to the bathroom or brushing your teeth. And it clears your system so… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I learned to tolerate pain. I learned to surrender to the healing process, to be patient, and to "listen" to my body and respond appropriately. I learned to diagnose and treat myself. I learned to love my body, even when I don't have much control over how it works, looks, or feels. I learned to have hope and acceptance. I learned to ask for what I want and need ... visitors, help with errands/chores, the opti… Read how I did it…
The responsibility and stress of adulthood tend to bring out the worst in people. My goal is to become graceful at adulthood. To do it with flow, balance, beauty, expansiveness, ease. To be my true self. The only way I can do this is to continue reaching for serenity, courage, and wisdom by practicing my program, praying, loving myself, facing my fears.
On Wednesday I made the mistake of weighing myself after two weeks of eating healthy for the most part. I hadn’t really lost anything. So I gave up! I think the diet approach is not working for me. I need to focus on exercise.
