I already have poems and I have started writing notes for my book. I have a feeling this is one of those things people say they want to do but never do because they fear being rejected or feel they aren’t really adequate. It is my firm belief that anyone can get published if they want to but the difference between those who are and those who aren’t is that those who are published sent their work in to publishers (sometimes many times), whereas those who aren’t either haven’t tried enough times are haven’t tried at all.

I attempted to climb about 5 years ago but we only made it to False Summit before realizing it was too foggy at the top to go on. We also got a late start and had to be back at the bottom before dark. Ever since then I’ve been “too busy” only because I haven’t seriously planned it though. This summer I’m going to do it.
One thing that will help with this is ditching our cable. I couldn’t bring myslef to get rid of all TV so we switched to Satellite. With cable, we were paying $57 a month, but with our Dish we only pay $25 for the same amount of channels. Now I won’t feel obligated to watch TV solely because we pay so much for it and I can’t let that go to waste. Also, the key is to buy a fun novel, one that will get you hooked. It doesn’t have to be educational, just fun and enjoyable.
