Marginally worth doing in my opinion. Did 11 days. It was an interesting experiment in how I thought about food. My wife and I used this fast as an opportunity to give up meat, which we’ve done since we did this cleanse a year and a half ago. Lost a few pounds, but gained it back and more soon thereafter. Too bad I didn’t give up dessert!Got bored with the tasted of the lemonade after 8 days or so. Tip: Don’t try this during a cold winter! Better to do in the summer. I have started juicing, and may try a juice diet this summer.

There might be some small grudglings left in my subconscious somewhere, but once I let go of the ones I was aware of, it was very liberating. Once, I heard someone else say, “Nobody rents space in MY head”. Another good analogy is that of the poisonous snakebite: “It’s not the bite that kills you, it’s the poison that you have in your veins”.

...it’s underwear….tan boxer shorts…and it’s a screened porch, so can people really tell? I’m no longer willing to take that risk so that I can save ten seconds to pull on a pair of pants. I hope you understand.

Saw them on the “Sort of Homecoming” tour, and years later on the “Elevation” tour. Both times were amazing. A truly religous experience—and I’m not a religous person!

... and boy, was I groggy! I was tempted to cave but didn’t.
Went to a coffee shop for lunch and craved coffee. Haven’t had any since January.

... I was our winter track team’s 3rd best pole vaulter. There were 3 of us. But sometimes I scored 3rd or 4th place points just for hitting the minimum 9’ b/c the other squad had no pole.

In my 30+ years of going to concerts and club shows, last month’s ‘Lips show was the most fun I’ve ever had. They put a lot of thought and effort into not only making sure you hear great music, but that you have a blast as well. I rate them up there with U2 as an experience not to be missed. I cannot recommend them enough.

I’ve gotten some subtle, but real, benefits from EFT. I want to learn more so that I can help myself and others. This book was recommended by a practitioner that has done some great work with my spouse.

...I end up drinking more and more cafeinated drinks, and I pay for it with limited sleep. I’m quitting for good! Down to two cups of tea today (gave up coffee 4 months ago—and I still LOVE the aroma, and that suuuuuuuucks). Was up to 5 cups of tea yesterday and I tossed and turned all damn night. This is it.
Will phase it out over the next few days.

...that I was addicted to. Now I’m hooked ongreen tea! Oh well, green tea is better for you, and sometimes I can actually go without it. Bu I could not go w/o sodas when I was “using”. I also used a “soda break” to break up the monotony of the workday at the office. I’ve since used a short walks (5 min.) instead of soda breaks (and the green tea sometimes). I’m not as jittery now, and I don’t crave the fake sugar taste of sodas either. It’s been almost a year and a half now.

Visited Venice, Florence, Lake Como, Lake Garda, and several small towns in Tuscany. Loved each place!

About 15 years ago, I realized that I was carrying a lot of stress. So I somehow stumbled upon “The Relaxation Response”, a book written by a doctor. I began to practice the simple routine recommended in the book, which turns out to be a rudimentary method for meditation. It has always worked well for me when I’m consistent (daily), but I periodically get off track and end up going for days or weeks without meditating. Then I force myself back into it, and wonder why I ever stopped because I feel so good when I’m doing it. So I’m looking to really ingraine this habit just like I have with brushing my teeth at least twice daily.
