At risk of being stoned, I’ll state that I’m not a big fan or westerns or space shows. So, needless to say, this series blew me away. I wish I could watch it again for the frist time.

This isn’t a problem anymore, because I just don’t go to bed until I can’t stay awake anymore. Now I’m just working on making my wake-time standard.
I give up! I really wanted to get my palm to play nicely with emacs, but I guess there aren’t enough people interested in this to get enough momentum going.
I blew it this year. But I’m going to try again in 2007. I’m not sure what/if I’ll do different. I’ll try to give that some thought
I’m going to begin fasting on Monday’s and Holy Week during lent. It was hard to pick which day of the week to fast on, but I think Mondays will be best. I want to begin my week in fasting instead of ending it that way.
I’m looking forward to giving django and webpy a try. These are two reasons I’m going with python instead of any other language. (ahem… rubyonrails)
I’m sign up with the one year bible blog and email list and ready to get started tomorrow. I’ve probably read through the bible many times by now, but not straight through on a daily basis. But this blog/email group has great commentary and discussion on each day’s readings, so I’m really looking forward to this.
I tried the site, but I didn’t try the idea. I just don’t have any books to give away, or that I would set out for my worst enemy to read.
(Note to self: recyle those stupid books that I wouldn’t set out for my worst enemy to read.)
I’ve just stopped going to bed when I’m not tired. Now, the next step is to set a standard time to wake up. That way, I’ll just balance myself out.
I’m on Chapter 5 of diveintopython. It’s hard to stay focused and excited becuase, well, I just don’t care about the sample code. Don’t get me wrong, the book is great, but I want to be working on my own project. I just wish there were more tutorials out there on how to build a specific type of program. It seems like all the tutorials I can find are just walking through each thing python can do, one function at a time.
Maybe it’s just late (or early). Maybe, once I learn python, I’ll start writing some more simple tutorials.
I had to write a paper for one of my classes on a topic that could be completely covered by the Lutheran Confessions (Book of Concord), without any other sources necessary.
You can read my paper on writely, and comment on my blog
I will have more to say personally, but this was a neat exploration into what the Lutheran Confessions themselves have to say on the topic.
