I had the worse food poisoning ever two weeks ago. What was supposed to be a nice lunch out (I usually eat at my desk – which I’ve vowed to stop doing).
What was supposed to be a nice lunch out with a co-worker turned into two days of missed work and a serious committment to eat at home more. I’ve actually been afraid to eat out – anywhere which has worked out well. I’m saving money, I’ve lost a couple of pounds and I generally feel better. I’m sure the fact that I’m eating a lot of rice and beans isn’t hurting either.
So, I guess getting food poisoning isn’t all bad, right?

I think this goal is hard for me because there are times when I know that I’m not doing the best that I can – which bothers me until I do better.

Someone said that not going to Sunday service is cheating – I disagree. I don’t think God is counting days that you attend Mass, but rather what your intention is for attending Mass.
I made it last Friday and I’m planning to go every Friday after work. If some event comes up for the same night, I need to plan in advance and go to Mass on Wednesday. Really, I have no excuse since my church offers services throughout the week.
