been taking a hip hop aerobics class once a week. i’d like to take it more often, but it just hasn’t worked out. also watched a bit of the tae bo video to figure out how that works.

i’m going on line to find some healthy easy recipes so that we can be prepared during the week, and not do some last minute takeout.
Unless you have a couple of crossed wires or a genetic glitch in your brain cells, most of the emotional turmoil you experience is directly traceable to the fact that you’ve learned to try to control those around you through these seven deadly habits, says psychiatrist William Glasser, MD, president of the William Glasser Institute in Chatsworth, CA, and author of Choice Theory: A New Psychology of Personal Freedom (HarperCollins, 1999).
And what are the seven deadlies? They are punishing, complaining, blaming, threatening, nagging, criticizing, and bribing.
Unfortunately, a lot of us use the seven deadlies, as Dr. Glasser calls them, without even realizing it.
yeah, i think I’m guilty of all of these… oh boy..
I am finally trying to clean up the hallway which seems to amass a medley of things that I don’t know what to do with
woo hoo, i shut off the tv and the kids played a lot more. and they played together, which was even nicer.
Well i tweaked my prototype food diary and printed out a new one to use today. I feel guilty about deliberately not writing one up yesterday, since i had a function. But we’re back on track now.
I did a fifteen minute walk this morning. i also reminded hubby last night to use the hotel gym, since he’s OOT this week. Hopefully he did just that.
well, i did a rare thing and walked during gray’s anatomy. i was worried that the exercise would keep me up late, but i think it actually helped me sleep last night. go figure!
Well, i attended a moms group and they had a whole array of goodies. I had some veggies, some fruit. I tried to limit the tempting snacks, but some rice krispie treats got the better of me. though, at least they had vitamins in them.. and they qualify as a breakfast food lolol I forgot to eat breakfast this morning. So I did pretty well, all things considered…
I attended another mops meeting today. man i love that organization. It really gives me alone time while the kids have fun, and shows that other moms care when you’re struggling. oh, the camraderie! all of these things are great for being a better parent, i truly believe it!
well, while i was cooking dinner, which is a time of great frustration, as we are converting the kids’ dinnertime to five thirty, so we can all eat together, from an early four pm, i remembered to put some toys at the dinner table. this really helped to keep them occupied and less in my hair. and fighting with each other.
i believe i am down a couple since i went to the doctor last week.. which by the way, i just found out i have an umbilical hernia, to top things off. @@
well, i am starting to incorporate fruits and veggies into my daily food counts. having a healthy fruit shake at the beginning of the day seems to start my day off right.
time for breakfast! I already walked on the treadmill this morning. go me!
well, i got on the treadmill today, to keep plugging along. I walked around the track at the ymca yesterday too.
woo hoo got on the treadmill for a few minutes today. that’s progress, right? i would have liked to have been on there more, but my little one will not leave me alone.. and that makes me nervous. add a barking little dog who wants to take on the beeping treadmill, and it’s just mayhem.
joined the national body challenge through discovery.com. i’m on my way! hopefully i’ll get the kidney stone(s) squared away.
i ran into someone the other day, in my daughter’s art/gym/swim class, who has five kids. i wondered how she kept her sanity and that’s the number one thing she says she’s learned.. live in the moment! enjoy your kids!
has anyone seen the show, shimmy yet? it’s so inspiring.. so much so, that i enrolled in a ymca class for bellydance, starting next year!
